In 1977 Pastor Lynford Williams conducted a crusade in the Peter's Rest area. In hope of establishing a church in the area The North Caribbean Copnference of Seventh-day Adventists purchased two acres of Land at #331 Peter'e Rest from Cristelin Johnson. In 1980 under the leadership of Pastor Alan B. Johnson plans were made to build a church. Permission was obtained to build on the land in Peter's Rest. On November 25th, 1980, at 5:30 a.m., during the Thanksgiving service held in the Christiansted church, the plans for the building of Peter's Rest church were presented to the Lord. The ground breaking ceremony took place on May 31st, 1981, on June 6th, 1981 plans for the construction were presented to the North Caribbean Conference.  On Friday, September 2nd, 1983 we held our first service in the Peter's Rest church, and and Sabbath, September 3rd, 1983 we were organized in a Company. On Sabbath, November 12th, 1983 at 3:00 p.m. we were organized into a full church body which included members from the Christiansted church, Central church, and converts from the Don Crowder crusade. We had a charter membership of 180, and by dedication on August 18th, 1985, a membership of 275. Today the membership stands at over 400. The joy of building a house of worship is an experience which can never be forgotten.
